Setting out from my home, on a bitter cold January morning at 3:30AM, I arrived in Portland Maine 15 minutes after sunrise to photograph this wonderful light house. The warm morning light brings out the great textured surface of the lighthouse tower, which is enveloped in a rich sky that transitions from beautiful shades of orange to deep blue.
